Sublime and inspired, brilliant to discover this, thanks. She has 2 profiles on Bandcamp with different labels, just bought Live at Montreux Jazz Festival.

I actually ended up buying Dead Magic , which is from a European label, I'm in Ireland. The studio version of Ugly & Vengeful, is excellent, different, but just as powerful as the amazing live version.

I'm fascinated with people like her. I wonder if she realizes how weird she is. I hope not!

I worked with a lot of 4AD artists, like Dead Can Dance among others, great musicians have a focus and imagination, beyond the banal everyday shite, we get dumped on us .

So true. It's also true of other art forms.

Absolutely, was thinking the same, live would be a treat.

Oh my word, I think I'm about to enter that first phase of falling in love, the one with all the magic and butterflies. Thanks for the introduction.

She's certainly an acquired taste, Charles! Gotta hand it to these unique, follow-their-muse artists who refuse to bend or be twisted into the current trend. Also gotta hand it to brave and creative writers who uncover and write about such artists! Nice, Charles!

Gotta say she'd probably be more welcomed in Protestant churches (having grown up and, for a time, been a professional church worker, as a youth minister in a couple of Lutheran churches!), although it's tough to beat the wonderful acoustics in Catholic churches/cathedrals!

In the meantime, I'll be patiently awaiting the re-mixed, extended version of "Ugly and Vengeful"!

Hey Brad, still waiting for that remix! question--you have probably explained this somewhere, but how does tune-tag work and how do we start? It looks to me like someone sends a link and the recipient has to figure out what the connection is, then send something back....?

Great, Charles! Here's the basic steps in Tune Tag: DM me your first song and artist (with a Spotify or YouTube link, if you'd like)........any song/any artist/any genre/any decade or era. I'll then send you my song #1, and it'll have something (artist or song or thematic or lyrical, or a like session player....something) that'll is similar, or somehow linked to the song/artist YOU sent.

You'll be taking notes the whole way, but keeping them to yourself and more easily on an e-mail draft page. Keep notes on why you think I sent you my song after one of yours, and I'll be doing the same. Also make notes on why YOU picked a song that follows and links to mine. We each send the other 4 songs, alternating. When I send my 4th and final song, I'll remind you, and that's when you can finalize your notes, and e-mail them to me.

Any questions along the way, feel free to DM me! And, thanks!
