I know professional musicians who are flying across the country to see them. I hope I’ve been able to convey a little bit of why they are so special. Thank you for reading.
Although not my genre, I’ve listened to several clips. They are phenomenally talented musicians. Admirable videos as well. Loved the first video with the three girls.
Thanks for taking the time even though it's not your usual. Crazy thing is that when she started the band, Miku was a songwriter but couldn't play guitar. Now look at her!
The acoustic version of Sayonakidori is one of the best things I have heard in a long time. I could listen to that bass all day. I assume you will be seeing them in SF next week?
I think MISA is a jazz bassist at heart who found herself anchoring a hard-rock band. In her hands the bass is a lead instrument, and Band-Maid have been smart enough to put her forward in the mix to take advantage of that, even in their full-bore rockers. If you haven't seen this, it's a great example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwRrpaSbaGk
Yes, that is a great example. Anchoring every great band is a great bass player. Btw, it looks like Kanami plays PRS. That will give PRS a big boost in Japan.
