I was working on a “Best of 2022” list, and trying to figure out if I even had a pick for best song of the year. Then this dropped on Christmas Eve, like a last-minute present, and ended any debate for me.
Normally I give a bit of background and history of artists I write about, for readers who are not familiar with them. I will do that for this band in a later post. For now, just know that they went on hiatus in mid 2020 when their founding member and bass guitarist left for personal reasons, and they spent a year searching for her replacement. This is their coming-out party with the new bassist, and the first thing they have released in a year-and-a-half. Let’s just say, they used the time well.
Lovebites: “Judgement Day”
They're pretty impressive, have a fuller and more melodic sound than older metal, and they're female. They make it look so easy!
well that was pretty epic! I really don’t like all the fast cutting in videos like this where you never stay on one musician for more than a second, so just listened. I get a bit of Iron Maiden in their sound. Very cool.
