After their successful bi-coastal U.S. tour last fall, Band-Maid announced that they are returning in May for a tour covering the South and Midwest. Despite zero coverage from American media, their 2022 14-city tour sold out in two days, with tickets fetching four and five times the original price on the resale market. Most of the May 2023 tour is sold out, but tickets are available on the secondary market.
The good news: They have just announced they will return in August. This is a must-see for fans of good old-fashioned rock and roll, played by virtuoso musicians. I know professional musicians who are traveling cross-country to see them.
I’ve listed the May and August dates below. Tickets for August will go on sale this week, with fan-club members getting first access on Monday and general sales starting Wednesday. Unfortunately, there is little choice but to go through Ticketmaster (may the rock gods give them plagues and locusts!).
In case you are interested in joining the fan club, here is the link. And No, I have no financial interest in promoting them. I just think they are the best rock band to come along in 40 years and I love spreading the word!
Here is a clip from one of Band-Maid’s performances earlier this year, in Japan. They are a remarkable live act, one of those rare bands that sound as good unfiltered and unprocessed as they do in in the controlled setting of the studio. And Lordy, can they play!
